hiking

went hiking with nealon yesterday. it was beautiful but i ran out of water. during one of my many complain sessions a fly flew into my mouth, and i didn't have enough saliva to swollow it so it just sat angrily on the back of my throat until we found civilization again.

kung fu guy

if anyone saw my last post, i fixed up the drawing after seeing some amazing artwork today. if you didn't see it, this is a character i thought about putting in my comic book later on in the story. a kung fu guy in a sea of kung fu guys. but HE has cool 80's battle mullet.

marine for a day!

so recently, under some pretty unusual circumstances, i was allowed to participate in an all day training exercise with a whole unit of real life marines! although i can't talk about what we did, i can tell you that their flak vests are FREAKING HEAVY! a couple of guys were nice enough to let me try one on and it's like wearing a bell around you and it makes running and moving around a real challenge. those guys did it all day and they're the real deal. support your troops man!
